The Practice
Willcockson Eye Associates originated in 1950 when Dr. Thomas H. Willcockson started his practice in Yankton, South Dakota. Dr. John R. Willcockson joined his father in the practice of ophthalmology in 1975. Both of them have now retired; Tom in 1991 and John in 2006. Dr. Patrick H. King joined the practice in 1983, Dr. Paula A. Hicks in 1994, Dr. Gregory A. Kouri in 1996 and Dr. Karen E. Dickes joined in 2011.
A satellite office is operated in Norfolk, Nebraska. The physicians perform surgery at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota; Lewis and Clark Specialty Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota; Faith Regional Surgery Center in Norfolk, Nebraska; Avera St. Michael’s Hospital in Tyndall, South Dakota; Providence Medical Center in Wayne, Nebraska; and Sanford Dakota Hospital in Vermillion, South Dakota.
The physicians who have united to form Willcockson Eye Associates are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical and surgical eye care for our patients from southeast South Dakota, northeast Nebraska and western Iowa.
